Fellowships, residencies and internships support professional development, skill enhancement and outstanding creative projects.
Creative WA is the WA Government’s 10 year vision to grow and sustain thriving arts, culture and creative industries in Western Australia which will contribute to the prosperity and diversity of the WA economy.

The Creative WA Fellowships and the Creative WA Internships programs will fast-track excellence, offering significant career development which contributes to job creation and employment pathways in the creative industries.
The Creative WA Internships program offers Western Australian organisations the opportunity to provide internships for up to 3 individuals of $70,000 to undertake skills development and forge career pathways.
Creative WA Internships
Arts Development Fellowships category offers fellowships of up to $50,000 for 6 Western Australian artists or arts industry creatives with at least 5 years of professional practice.
Arts Fellowships for Young people category offers fellowships of up to $26,000 to 5 young Western Australian people aged 18 to 25 and under to kickstart their careers.

A one-off grant of US$30,000 for people wishing to further their studies in the United States.
Who is it for: Visual artists, curators, art historians etc
Dedicated desk at Centre for Stories for 10 days ($2000 stipend).
Who is it for: CaLD and/or First Nations writers
8 to 10 week hot desk at Centre for Stories in Northbridge, profiling ($1500 stipend and $200 printing allowance).
Who is it for: comic creators
Supports an author to create a new work for publication or performance ($80,000).

Stipend and accommodation at Forrest Hall with a total value of over $250,000.

Provides unrestricted, tax-free grants of $200,000 over 2 years.

Financial and mentoring support to the artist over 2 years. Fellows receive $50,000 per annum ($100,000 tax-free).

Supports new creative work using or inspired by the National Library’s collections ($35,000 and 12 week residency).

Supports regional artists and arts workers to build skills to sustain an arts career ($8000).

Course fee bursary ($1400) for Certificate Programme with Dance Nucleus (Singapore) + 2 week studio residency (80 hrs).

Who is it for: First Nations fashion and textile label owners, designers and industry professional
Value: Travel, accommodation, visas, travel insurance, networking opportunities and a daily allowance
Who is it for: Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents with a minimum of five years’ experience working in-house or freelance for a publishing company or the equivalent at an Australian literary agency
Value: $15,000
