Backed by a combined $2.14 million in Western Australian Government funding, these projects are providing modern, high-quality spaces that will keep local young people, families and riders of all abilities active and connected.
The new Byford Bike Pump Track at Briggs Park has been delivered through a $1.34 million investment, featuring a purpose-built pump track for intermediate and advanced riders, as well as jump lines, shade shelters and seating.
An additional $800,000 has supported Stage 2 upgrades to the Byford Skate Park, delivering an expanded skating area, new elements, and improved lighting and seating to create a more vibrant and welcoming space.
These upgrades respond to strong demand for accessible recreational facilities in one of Western Australia's fastest-growing communities.
Both projects deliver on the WA Government's 2021 election commitments and form part of the broader PlayOn WA initiative, which is guiding investment in community sport and recreation infrastructure across the State.
