Two images of the newly refurbished Robertson Park tennis facility

Funded by an $861,000 grant through the Community Sporting and Recreation Facilities Fund, the upgrades have helped to transform the tennis facilities and surrounding public spaces on Fitzgerald Street in partnership with the City of Vincent and Tennis Australia.

The upgrades include the conversion of 12 synthetic turf tennis courts to acrylic hard courts, delivering a modern, durable surface for training and competition. New 350 lux LED floodlighting and replacement court fencing have also been installed, improving safety and allowing for greater use of the facility into the evening.

The project has also contributed to enhancing the central thoroughfare through the precinct, with widened access ways, new shade structures, seating, integrated drainage systems and rain gardens featuring native planting and trees.

This project forms part of the WA Government’s PlayOn WA initiative, which is guiding investment in community sport and recreation infrastructure across the State through to 2030.
