The State Government invested $10.9 million towards the $13.86 million project, delivering a modern, accessible space for people across Dalyellup and the wider South West.

The new hub includes:

  • a multifunctional library and technology lounge
  • a youth hub where young people could connect and create
  • a digital makerspace with a 3D printer, podcast studio, and recording facilities
  • a computer lab providing access to gaming, technology, study, and jobseeking resources
  • shared meeting rooms and studios
  • a commercial kitchen for catering, cooking classes, and nutrition workshops
  • an onsite café.

A range of after-school programs for children and young people aged 10 to 17 will begin at the youth hub from Term 3.

The facility was designed and named with input from the local community to support learning, creativity, wellbeing, and community connection.

Emerging Noongar artists Coby Khan and Issabelle Riley were commissioned to create artwork for the new facility. Their work featured throughout the building, including on partitions, windows, and the library workroom wall.

The hub will deliver lasting benefits for the community, giving people more opportunities to learn new skills, access technology, and take part in community activities.
