the newly constructed State Squash Centre building in Belmont WA
Ahead of the 2026 World Squash Masters Championships later this month, the Belmont Squash and Sport Centre has been transformed into a world-class facility, delivered through the State Sporting Infrastructure Fund as part of PlayOn WA.

The centre has been upgraded into a modern, accessible venue capable of supporting high-performance training, community participation and delivering major national and international events.

The upgrade includes new international-standard glass-backed courts, improved lighting, refurbished changerooms, and enhanced accessibility, along with roof improvements, a new façade, and upgraded amenities for players and spectators.

With the redevelopment now complete, the WA State Squash Centre is set to welcome competitors from around the globe for the 2026 World Squash Masters Championship from 30 August to 6 September.

The project is part of the State Government's commitment to delivering high-quality sporting infrastructure for the Western Australian community through PlayOn WA.

PlayOn WA is ensuring Western Australians have access to modern facilities that encourage greater participation while supporting the State's growing reputation as a destination for major sporting events.
