The Creative Industries Action Plan represents a commitment to investing in one of WA’s most valuable resources: creativity.

Recent discussions are positioning the Action Plan to provide clear deliverables under existing strategies including Diversify WA — Western Australia’s economic development framework, Made in WA, and Creative WA — a 10 year vision to grow and sustain our creative ecosystem.

Fostering a vibrant and creative economy is a key driver in diversifying the WA economy and early drafts of the Action Plan support this economic and jobs growth focus. Central to Taskforce discussions has been the importance of our creative people — with many discussions centred on sustainable careers in Perth and in our regional areas.

Engagement with the Taskforce members and key industry stakeholders continues, with the Creative Industries Action Plan anticipated to be released in 2026.
