Intro

It was the first time the event had been held in Perth, and it hit all the right notes!

Featuring hands-on workshops and networking opportunities with industry professionals, the expo was a fun and interactive way for young people to learn about different career pathways and how they could get a start in the Australian music industry.

The day opened with a bang by Perth's own indie rock girl band Solstice, followed by presentations by Spotify Australia and Hyperfest as well as vocalist and guitarist Sam Blitvich from Sly Withers and music mentor Hollie Reece-Jones.

The 2026 Push Music Career Expo complements existing WA music initiatives by strengthening early-stage engagement and building a pipeline of young people ready for industry programs.

It was supported by the WA Government through the department's strategic initiative funding program.
