Children's Week 2026 poster

The new video is now available at cits.wa.gov.au/its-ok-to-complain.

The video is designed to support a child or young person who wants to raise a concern or complaint about CITS activities, services or staff and was co-designed with children and young people to ensure the content is relevant, accessible and easy to understand. The launch coincides with Children's Week 2026, which highlights the importance of listening to children and ensuring their voices are heard in matters that affect them.

Printed posters will be displayed in places where children and young people participate in CITS related activities or services, such as our recreation camps.

The resources support ongoing work by the Child Safeguarding Implementation Unit at CITS to strengthen child-safe practices and help children and young people have a voice.

During Children’s Week, the WA Government is highlighting ongoing work to strengthen child-safe practices and create child safe environments.

A new campaign is encouraging families, parents and carers to learn what to look for and ask of organisations who prioritise child safety.  Visit the Department of Communities website to learn more.
